Position Summary
GruntWorx is seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Sales Associate to manage new incoming leads and renewal accounts within our low-tier and mid-tier customer segments. This role is ideal for someone who excels at responding to warm leads, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring customers renew, expand, and continue to see value from the GruntWorx platform.
The Sales Associate will play a critical role in revenue retention and growth by converting inbound interest into new customers and managing renewals while identifying light upsell opportunities aligned to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound New Sales

Respond to and qualify incoming leads generated by marketing, referrals, and product interest

Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect workflows, challenges, and automation needs

Present and recommend appropriate GruntWorx solutions for low-tier and mid-tier prospects

Manage the sales process from initial contact through close for inbound opportunities
Renewals & Account Management

Manage a book of low-tier and mid-tier renewal accounts

Proactively engage customers ahead of renewal dates to ensure retention

Address basic objections, pricing questions, and usage concerns related to renewals

Partner with Customer Success to support adoption and reduce churn
Upsell & Expansion (Light Expansion Focus)

Identify appropriate upsell opportunities during renewal and customer check-ins

Educate customers on additional features, services, or higher-tier plans when relevant

Collaborate with the Renewal and Customer Success teams to align on expansion-ready accounts
Pipeline & CRM Management

Maintain accurate account records, renewal dates, and opportunity tracking in the CRM

Track inbound lead activity, renewal progress, and forecasted revenue

Follow structured communication and follow-up processes
Collaboration & Feedback

Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, New Sales and Renewals teams

Share customer feedback, common objections, and product insights

Contribute to improvements in renewal processes, scripts, and sales messaging
Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in sales, renewals, account management.

Experience handling inbound leads and/or customer renewals preferred
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Comfortable discussing pricing, contracts, and renewal terms

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously

Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)

Experience working with SaaS or accounting firms is a plus
